A man has been arrested for stealing nearly 250 empty beer cans from a convenience store in Detroit.
The 46-year-old man broke into storage room of the 7-Eleven shop on Tuesday and made way with large bag filled with the cans in his car.
The 247 cans would be worth $24.70 (£13.82) if he was to cash them into a local deposit shop.
But after he was arrested, he said he stole the cans to support his crack habit.
It has been reported the man was given a citation for larceny and released pending a court appearance in several weeks.
